El asma extrínseca no se puede tratar por completo, pero los síntomas se pueden reducir al fijar las tuberías rotas que evitarán la acumulación de moho, cerrando cada puerta y ventanas cuando aumenta el recuento de polen en el aire, mantener limpia la habitación o la casa para reducir el polvo de la casa y mantener a las mascotas alejadas de la persona que tiene asma extrínseca. Aunque el asma es casi imposible de curar por completo. Omalizumab es un anticuerpo que ayuda a reducir los síntomas del asma extrínseca al reducir la IgE en el cuerpo.
